Brescia

The most important Lombardian city after Milan, Brescia is often overlooked as a destination due to its proximity to other tourist sites such as Lake Garda, Lake Iseo, Verona and Vicenza.  However Brescia also has a lot to offer in its own right and the lack of hordes of tourists mean that your experience will be all the more rich.

Known as the 'Lioness of Italy', Brescia is located at the foot of the alps and dates from at least 4th century BC.  It became Roman in 225 BC and changed hands many times since then with struggles and conflicts that litter the centuries ranging from the Visigoths in 402 to the destruction of the Second World War. From all of these different eras however, something has left it's mark with Brescia having some fine examples of medieval and renaissance architecture and art.

Guests of the Park Hotel Ca Noa are within easy reach of this ancient and culturally rich city lying, as the hotel does, just north of the main city centre of Brescia on one of the direct transport links.

Guests to the 4 star hotel can therefore find themselves within easy reach of the Roman Forum, the renaissance Piazza della Loggia, the old round Romanesque Cathedral, the 'new' (begun in 1605!) cathedral, and many more historic sites.  The hotel is also located near the beautiful parks and gardens of the north of the city to allow the guest to take a lovely stroll instead.

Brescia is still however a commercially important city and a good example of this is the significant Brixia Expo Centre. The Park Hotel Ca Noa is within 6 km of this impressive exhibition venue and the hotel is particularly well designed to deal with the demands that business guests may make on the hotel including large meeting rooms, a business service centre providing photocopying and printing services, translation facilities, presentation equipment and much more. Whether you are visiting Brescia for business or pleasure, the Park Hotel Ca Noa is ideally situated to ensure that you lack for nothing.
